Have your portrait made using the photographic process of the 1850s, in the beautiful Victorian setting of Highwic in Auckland.
I’ll be bringing my mobile darkroom to Highwic for a limited number of portrait sessions this December.
Each portrait is made by hand on a 5 x 4 inch glass or aluminium plate, coated, exposed and developed on the spot. No digital camera, negatives or retouching — just a one-of-a-kind photograph made right there in front of you.
Sessions are relaxed and suitable for individuals or two people — couples, friends or family.
Your finished plate is varnished with traditional gum sandarac and you’ll also receive a digital copy.
Maximum two people per session. Spaces are limited so bookings are essential.
