CHB Museum: Wet Plate Portait Sessions

  • CHB Musreum High Street Waipawa New Zealand (map)

I will be attending the 150th Jubilee celebrations in Ongaonga on Saturday, October 18th, creating one-of-a-kind wet plate collodion portraits using original techniques from the 1850s. Due to demand, additional portrait sessions will be held the following day, Sunday, October 19th, at the Central Hawke’s Bay Museum in Waipawa.

Each portrait is made using silver and light on metal or glass, developed on-site in a traditional darkroom using a large-format camera. The result is a timeless, handmade heirloom that will last for generations.

Sessions are limited to a maximum of two people per plate. Finished plates will be carefully varnished, packaged, and posted after the event.

Bookings essential — don’t miss this unique opportunity to own a genuine piece of photographic history.
