portrait studio is based in the historic Edwardian spa town of Te Aroha, Aotearoa. When in Australia, you’ll find us at The Lightroom in Sydney, offering authentic wet plate collodion portrait sittings in both locations. All wet plate pricing includes one original plate (Tintype) and a web resolution digital copy. High resolution files are not provided, however fine art prints are available on request. During development, it’s quite common for artifacts to appear on the plate. Should they detract from the image we can re shoot. Plates are available framed or unframed.
