This intensive one-day workshop introduces you to the wonder of the Wet Plate Collodion Process.
Participants will learn how to make a positive image on a sheet of 5x4 aluminium plate (Tintype) using 19th century chemistry, techniques, and camera equipment.
The workshop covers a brief introduction to the Wet Plate Collodion Process, an understanding of the chemicals and cameras used and practical instruction on coating, exposing, developing and varnishing the plate.
All cameras and materials used are provided. Participants should expect to leave with 2-3 finished plates at the end of the day.
