Fotofest is the second annual photography festival for Hawke's Bay.

Hosted by Hastings city, the event brings photographers and those passionate about photography from around the country, together over 10 days. 

A number of exhibitions are held within the CBD, shop fronts, vacant spaces and laneways, with talks and presentations over the first weekend. 
Loads of interest and fun for everyone, local community and visitors with or without a camera.

This year I’ll be taking my mobile darkroom (a 1950’s Bond-wood caravan) to Hastings, Heretaunga to craft timeless portraits using the wet plate collodion process.

Plates will be posted out to clients once varnished and cured, a week or so after their session.

Sessions last 45 minutes and are limited to two people per plate.
